Ford 4.0l modification advice

Hi,
Just bought myself an EL Fairmont. Nice ride but it is bog stock. I am not looking at doing anything huge power wise ie. turbo but I want to make some informed decisions about engine upgrades so that I can do it one, do it right. In light of this I have a couple of questions.

The first one is the situation with extractors. You can get generic pacemaker/ H&M ones or you can go for the Jim Mock Motorsport ones By the time I get them delvered there will probably be around $150 difference between the 2. Are the JMM ones that much better?

The second one is the issue of running a different cam. I have not problems running upgraded springs down the track if required but I have no intention of pulling the head for any head work or stuff like that. JMM also sell cams and springs that are quoted are giving 147 rwkw without removing the head. Has anyone had experience with the JMM product compared to some of the others such as Crane, Wade, or Crow Cams?

The car will be using a MSnS that I have here at home so it will have full program ability for spark and fuel.

Try a search. All these questions have been asked and answered many times before

In short - Pacemaker 4480s are very good extractors (probably just as good as the JMM race series which i dont believe are available any more).

Youll need to give more info about what sort of cam your after. I guess since you have a monty you have auto so best to keep the cam on the milder side.

Thanks for the reply, I have done a search and found alot of info that really doesn't mean much to me such as 'stage 3 cam' and stuff like that. I have read the reviews on the JMM stuff. Just looking at other options. I don't need huge power just something to get the girl moving along a little better. As for the extractors that is great I will look at prices locally. Oh yeah and yes it is an auto
