I'm just about to start head gaket job. Is it posible to remove inlet manifold without first removing the plenum chamber.

If they are the same as EL then yes.

Some of the bolts are time consuming because you can only turn them an 8th of a turn at a time with a ring spanner, but it does eliminate taking off a few more things (which if you not sure of could make it a little more confusing reinstalling).

I have recently removed my head this way, whether it is quicker or slower I don't know but like I said if it is the same as EL it can be done.

yeah, saves a bit of time, easier if you use a ratchet spanner....
