Ford Lifter Help

Does anyone know how to take out lifters in a ford XE 250 x flow motor. what tools are requires. does the circlip on lifter come out with lifter or do you need to remove circlip first before taking out lifter. what is the procedure and tools required to take out lifters.

do you have a service manual? if not i recomend buying one BEFORE you even start.
also as far as the price of parts and repairs go it may be cheaper to get another engine from the wreckers that is in good working order. should be around $100-$200 if you shop around.
