Man i cant win,the fan on my xw went through the radiator,so i fiixed that new water pump and everything,even put an electric fan with a thermatic switch on it!But i get it all up and running,even treating the old girl to some new oil,and shabam!-one of the frost plugs on the head starts to leak!!!!
my question is,what causes this?(could it just be new water pump,good flush etc?)And are they hard to fix?Ive changed the ones in the block,but they were nice and big!
Oh,and anyone got any info on engine block/head paint colours?(what they mean etc)

I call them welch (pronounced welsh) plugs.

They leak due to corrosion or old age metal fatigue.

Use a good quality coolant & check for stray electric current in the cooling system, make sure the block has a good earth lead to body and battery earth to body & engine.
