Filled up the XR6 on Thursday with BP Ultimate (when it was cheap @ 101.9 ) and decided to give it a fuel consumption test. I drove the car to how i would drive it day to day (yes i would hit red line quite occasionally) and even took it for a flogging around some nice windey roads. The results was 438km out of the 68 litre tank of Ultimate. I didnt do any highway/freeway driving at all and i didnt drive like an asian in a camry, drove it how i would drive it. Im pretty pleased with the figures and i guess if i had of taken it easy, i would easily hit 550km. Feel free to post your own results and compare :)
im pretty much like that as well... anyone know how this can be improved or wat things to look out for?
From what I understand some of the problems can be; Fuel injectors, MAP sensor, Oxygen sensor, thermostat/temp. sensor, air filter and thats all I can think of off the top of my head.
I can get 500km on pertol and 450km on gas in my mum's AUI doing normal driving.
thanks for that ill look into it and see how i go :) can anyone please tell me wat the diffrence is between chemically cleaning the injectors and getting them ultrasonicly cleaned. besides the obvious lol. ty :)
