need to know if there is any difference between EF/EL fuel Rails and AU ones. i managed to get an AU one for free but it has 2 Hoses on it. one from the fuel regulator and one from the fuel return line. dont EF/EL have screw in fuel lines?? im thinking of doing a BBM conversion and want to know if i can use that fuel rail. Thanks.

EF/EL do have screw in hoses. However you might be able to use EB/ED lines on the AU injectors, those being held by hose clamps as well.

However, AU injectors are different and EF/EL injectors might not fit.

More to the point, so's the regulator. If you use this the car will overfuel.
Your best bet would be to pick up a complete manifold with all the bits still bolted on it, along with the fuel pump, BBM valve, EL computer (optional), and throttle cable, from some wrecker, home wrecker, or maybe Pick-a-Part.

thanks for info guys. looks like i wont use it. it is a shame though it was in excelent condition still has factory chrome finish.(does any one want it??) have got manifold just need a few bits and peices. MongrelEB what does the BBM Valve look like? and also if i use the EL computer do i have to use the whole computer loom which means ripping out my dash or do i just plug it in and it will work?

Here you go. It lives up behind the water bottle, I can get you one if you want, with the plug for the ECU.

The EL computer plugs straight into the EA plug. You need to add 5 wires (not counting Smartlock). These are mostly for the thermos, BBM, k/s.

Umm I presume you don't have Smartlock? You could use an RPM switch in that case, to control the BBM, or you could put in an EBII or ED dash for the Smartlock.
I personally recommend the EL computer as it'll run thermos, however it is obviously up to you which way you want to go.

dont have a car at the moment but i plan to get an EB or ED Fairmont with smartlock.

So if i dont run an EL computer will i lose performance by having a BBM because it doesnt switch the runners??

Mongrel EB you should do a tutorial on BBM conversion covering all variables like what wires are needed, other parts required, which computer etc, etc. im sure alot of people will use it just like your CFI-MPFI tutorial.
