hey guys i've got a ef falcon with a T5 and i noticed the other day while i was towing the race boat the gearbox got warm didnt get noisey or anything but i have never really thought bout cheking wat temp they are supposed to get to!
i lifted the shifter boat and put my fingers on the gearbox housing and i could hold my fingers on it for bout 30 seconds before they started getting to hot is this sort of temp ok or is there something wrong!
im not due for an oil change but i think i might change it soon any way any info would be good cheers!

if you can put your fingers on it for 30 seconds it actullt pretty cold no more then 50deg.
try that with your engine block after towing.
when gearboxs and diffs start getting over 100 is when a worry but how many gauges do you want?

it just worryied me when i could feel it threw the floor pan!
must have been cause i had been driving fo such a long time cheerts for the info!

no prob most heat you feel through the floor is the engine and exhaust heat after driving for a while.
