Hey Guys..

The Head is coming off the 250 soon for a new gasket and timing chain...is there any thing else that i should get replaced?? Im fitting a new water pump also due to a slight leak..the engine has done about 294,000..

Should the camshaft be replaced?? What is the average life of a camshaft??

Anything else that i should replace in there also??

Cam should be fine, but seeing everything else is out, might be worth the extra $ getting a decent cam in there along with new lifters. Also, depending on how many $ you have spare, at 294,000km, the bottom end could really do with a freshen up and you already have the head etc off. Just a thought, but all depends on the money.
