Ok here is teh story for yas:

I got an Au S1, with a nicely worked Au S1 head, lumpy cam ported etc

now a mate of mine wants this head, so i was thinking of doing an exchange with him for his head, which is an EL head.

I wanna supercharge my I6, so now i am wondering which of the heads is the best flowing one. I got an EF, and EL on exchange on the AU head to choose from, also into which one can i fit the biggest valves and which cam would be most suitable for SC application.

keep your ported AU head. Better exhaust valve, smaller valve stems, better clamping force arround back cylinders. Stock EF heads flow the best, but if yours is ported dont get rid of it.

ok what i forgot to mention is that the AU head is decked for increased compression ratio. The plan is to run a M60 SC with aroun 6 to 8 pounds to start of with, but later with up to 16 pounds. Alternatively i could get myself a set of decomp pistons and probably some stronger conrods. The Only issue i got atm is i have a Crow S3 cam, which ibelive doesnt quite have the right specs for a SC engine (lotsa lift).

lift isnt the problem with SC, its more duration/overlap.

If your looking to run boost mabey concider a ported 3.9L head, these had the largest chambers (when the swirl port is removed) of all the 3.9/4.0L heads.

mhm ... i that would mean that i gotta buy my 3.9l head back from my mate lol ... what about increasing the valves and what cam? (for teh 3rd time lol)
