Ok just pulled the head off the ea as id been getting water into the sump
when i got it off i noticed that there is rust impressions and divits heading towards the cylinder area,
im guessing im going ot be up for a new head any suggestions
is this fixable or does neone have a good nick ea head available to purchase withing next 24 hours if not been quoted 150 bucks changeover for a reco shaved head from a ford wrecker

That's a pretty good price for a reco head. Just make sure it really is recoed, not just cleaned up. Rmyers paid $400 to get his head recoed, and that had a fair bit of rust around the water passage entrances, with bits even chipping off. It was repaired though.

Take the head into a engine rebuilder and get them to reco the head for you. They will shave the head so most of that rust impression will be gone.

It costs around $200 to get it recoed

The price really depends on how far gone it is aswell, mine needed a fair bit of work, but I had no choice as I needed the head asap, I just bit the bullet and paid the $400, but that includes new springs, valves etc, and a fair bit of welding were in the water passages. Well worth it IMO though as me amd Alex couldn't believe how good it cleaned up :)...
