I got an EB Fairmont '91' 3.9 MPEFI stock as stock can be and was wondering if you guys could help me out i dont know much about ford's or cars in general for that matter. i was wanting to know some nice cheap mods i can do to the EB to give it more power and better handling (im getting s/low king springs soon let me know if their crap) and just some all round tips i can do myself to get it goin a bit better and keep it in good nic

if getting s/low's, it may be to low for mr Plod, but thats your call, you will have to get shorter shocks as well, basically a must.

get extractors, and 2.5 inch straight through exhuast, as well a k&N panel filter

should get you started for a small amount of $$$

Thanks for that guys also im not sure if this is good or bad when idle it sit on about 400rpm i think it should be at 1000rpm at least but it shows no signs stalling its like its normal but it doesn't feel right whats going on

is it manual or auto, but idle should be around 700rpm, if it doesnt stall ever, then dont panic too much is my motto.

yea its an auto i've also changed from using norm unleaded to pulp can you run an octane boost through pulp? i really want to get the EB running smooth and in schmic condition

Whats the fuel usage like, how many litres per 100 are you getting, or how many k's are you getting on a tank, and is mostly highway or city driving.

Probably about 400k's out of a full tank i drive about 70k's to and from work, half city and half highway so its a bit hard to judge properly.

also can you clear this one up for me... when i want to leave a few black marks she wont rev past 2000rpm (with foot on pedal brake) i can feel the ass end lift and get ready to start spinnin but it wont go the extra bit for it to happen??? the old girls got a 97 EL falcon GL s/wagon and that used to do it without a problem. and i really don't want to rev the piss out of it and dump back into 1st cuz i know that causes problems (thats how i f*cked the EL what can i say i was a learner) :p but yea do u think its because of the LSD on it or could it be it doesn't have the power to spin on the spot

Should have the power, but LSD and ABS are probably conspiring against you.

how much would it cost to have a 2.5 inch exhaust all the way through with extractors or what would a nice setup be with some estimate prices cuz i really don't know anything about exhaust systems
