Can anybody suggest why my EB is missing when the air is hot??? It doesnt do it when the engine is cold or when its a nice cool night. It only does it when the engine heats up and its a hot day. The engine isnt overheating and ive checked the fuel pressure and its ok. Could this be an ignition problem? Please dont say TFI!!! Any help appreciated!

Boy, it's hard to say without looking and playing with things.

An ignition problem could be a few sources, I'd probably start witht he dizzy cap - check that it is clean and in good working order, not warping or coming loose in heat. Also check the ignition leads, ensure they are in good working order, no cracks in the insulation (which breaks down in heat), properly secured onto both the plug and dizzy.

If needed, replacing the spark plugs is another more expensive option..... but I'd look at these two first.

If it only does it when its hot, check the coil for cracks. If it's cracked, when it heats up the crack expands and causes a missfire..

Oh damn, could be the coil. It hasnt been touched as far as i know. The leads and plugs were changed a few months back..
