help with pcv valve EF/EL

hey guys i got a ef/el rocker cover painted up ,and it didnt have a pcv valve in it ,so i got a new one

but i got no idea if the grommot i got with it is the right one ,and i have no idea if i install it from underneth or front the top ??do i put the vlave in the grommot and then put it in the rocker cover ???

if you have any ideas let me know

That grommet doesn't quite look right. But if it is they go in from the top, put it in first, then drop the valve in.

They can be a prick, I broke it getting it out of that rocker cover.

Yep, bigger bit on top. I'll try get my PCV valve out tomorrow without breaking it and get a photo or two. I'll also grab a pic of that clip for 1 and 2 leads.

The gromet looks fine, put it in from the top, then just slip the PCV in.
The smaller end goes in the hole, and the big flange sits on top of the cover.

yeah i just got the gromot in then ,but there's no way in hell the PCV valve is gonna fit in there ,the hole in the grommot is 15mm and goes smaller ,then the PCV valve is about 19-20mm ,if i cant get it in ,would it be ok if i drilled the grommot out a little ,i know it needs to be a tight fit but !!!

Does the pcv fit in the grommet when its not fitted in the rocker cover?
