Hi guys ive been thinkingabout every aspect ofthe install of the dev 4 ...I got a full micrometer magnetic base...I have got shims ready 2 per lifter some new oil,liquid paper to mark the right leads.Im feeling pretty optimistic.But as I head in on Friday night that ive got my shit together..Say a prayer for me...maybe a beer will help..Would new lifters be an idea?

With the leads i normally just stick some Masking tape around each one and write the number on it.
At least you can take it off when your done.

Does anyone know were i can buy a set of good priced lifters for the new cam?In Sydney west?

ANy good engine builder.
I got a full set of new lifters for $180.
$15 per lifter, heaps better than $60 each from Ford.

I dont see why there would be a problem with the lifers you have being an AU. Besides at around $30-$40 each x12 they add up. Best of luck, should be easy now you've pretty much done it twice before anyhow.

you can buy a set of the little clips that hold the lifters together for under $20. You just neet to take the old ones apart (there are only 3 pieces that make up the lifter), clean them with carby cleaner, and put them together with the new clips. Easy to do and just as good as a set of new lifters, but a lot cheaper.

I tried this a few months before i replaced my lifters, didnt do squat.
Was a waste of $17.
