How is idle speed controled?

I have EA MPI 5 speed. What parts control the idle speed? My cold idle is 1000-1100 and hot idle 1500-1600. Where do I look, what do I replace, or adjustplease? (see earlier post for history) .Alternatively can someone suggest a half decent manual from which I may understand how the EMS works?

There is a module on top of the intake manifold down near where the rubber hose connects where a ISC(Idle Speed Controller) connects up to. Basically there are two holes, one on either side of the throttle butterfly, and the ISC connects up to both and controls a solenoid letting more or less air through, changing your idle.

Anyways you need to adjust the idle speed screw which you will see right down the bottom on the right hand side of the intake pointing towards the front of the car. turn it anti-clockwise and it should reduce your idle
