How often do you change the Fuel Filter?

My 2000 AUII XR6 VCTs' fuel economy has turned to poo.... The cars becoming hard to start and generally running like busted bum.(It's done around 110000 k's)

I'm going to replace leads, plugs and air filter, but I'm not sure if I should change the fuel filter as well. I have always filled it with Caltex fuel (Vortex)

How often should I change the fuel filter and should this improve anything.

Has anyone got any other idea's.

SOMETIMES........I wake up "grumpy",

But I usually let HER sleep.........

Re: How often do you change the Fuel Filter?

Premium fuels - like Vortex - are more refined than standard ULP but that doesn't mean that they cant get contaminated. For the couple of dollars they are worth you may as well.

I would probably only change a fuel filter once every 50,000 KM - I am not sure how often they are spose to be done but I try and do a major service (all filters and most fluids) every 50,000 KM and oil every 5,000 KM.

Hope that helps.
