XA Fairmont

Gday all....Ok my auto 250 pre crossflow powered XA Fairmont has extractors and a 2 1/4 inch exhaust. As much as i love the car its pretty gutless. It cant even do burnouts. (yes i do now how to do burnouts) I dont no what it is, either to much weight or not enough power. Standard 250's in the XA's came with 114 kW and mine engine has only done 98,0000 miles so its not at all tired plus it has extarctors and exhaust which added a noticable difference in power when they were put on. Will different diff gears say 3.5's help me to do skids. Also what about a new cam, i rang Crow and they recomened me a cam that would give me a 15% power gain. Can anyone please help me? Dont waste your money untill you find the 2V and get it built proberly and with those 3.5 gear's your looking for it should spin the wheel's no worries.

we had a an xb bushbomb-burnout car with a pre crossflow in it. it had 3.23 gearing and didnt go to bad at all hung the best burnouts

I no i ask this question alot but i have to keep myself motovated about the 2v head hahahahahaha. They say the standard 2v's could keep up with a 302, my mates stock 302 powered Fairlane rips me and i dont see how a 2v head, maniflod and 2 barrel carby is going to get me to keep up with him, but im still gonna get one because i hear there good heads. How much power would a 250 pre x flow put out with a 350 Holley, 2v inatke, 2v head, crow cam, extractors and exhaust? Will it be able to spin both wheels?

hey dud just wondering if you ever found out your question about how much power you will have with the 250. i'm in the same boat and wanna know if it is worth gettin the head or just spedning the extra bucks and time with a v8. i can't see how my 6 could keep up with an 8.

A stock 2v puts out 127 kW but i hear the go like the ducks guts! With a bit of work i would hopefully but just guessing around 160 kW. I'll have to wait and see.
