hey guys, I was just wondering what kind of k's you fellas get out of your tanks and ordinary fuel (or optimax etc I guess). Im still deciding what car to get next and I just want to know what modded I6's can get.

So if you could, just specify what engine mods you have done that would affect the outcome and your tranny. Will be interesting to see the results.

I have a 88 EA, A3, 3.9Mpfi -> lucky to get 400k's/tank

When I owned my EB2 XR6 with extractors, I used to get around 450-500 km around town an a best of 760 km on a bris. to syd. trip. Running on optimax did'nt really affect fuel cons. but it ran smoother and was a bit more toey.

Nah no grandpar driving here mate, the best ive had around town was 600, that was grandad driving.
Ive had 750 from a tank on a highway trip, cruise controle is a wonderful thing.
This latest tank was the first full tank after i changed the fuel pressure regulator, and as usual it was a tank full of Synergy 8000(or BP Ultimate).

Last 2 tanks I managed 13.4 L/100km. Usually it's around 15-16 l/100km. I always fill up when the fuel gauge hits 1/4, or 100km DTE, whichever occurs first, so usually takes around 55-60 litres. I drive around canberra, so it's a mix of city/freeway.

AU1 XR6VCT A4 Based on 60 litres, range is 450 odd at 13.4, or 375 at 16. Average would be around 400.
