My ef xr6 is having idle problems.. When reving it will hold the revs at 2000rpm for a period of time then drop slowly... When I disconnect the sensor on the top of the throttle body it revs freely and drops as it should.
My understanding is that a car should rev freely and then drop rapidly...

Easy disconnect isc adjust idle screw, then put isc plug back on...
How do I find out which screw is the idle screw? How do I adjust it, run the engine then twist it to see if it idles faster/slower? How do I know I have the correct speed?
As I said, I have no idea when it comes to this... Thanks for any info.
Yes thats what the isc motor does along with other things..
There is a long screw nr throttle body turn it clockwise and [count so you can return] the engine should idle faster..Rpm from memory around 650 / 700 rpm..There should be a sticker under bonnet showing rpm/ tune settings etc..
