Not much point putting a cam into a cfi, the manifold can't really supply the extra air the cam will require. You will probably notice a *slight* difference with a 4L cam, but it won't be worth the $50 you paid for it.
I know, my brother did it on his, then went mpfi anyway.
And I also agree with the other two - before a cam, go mpfi, extractors, and exhaust. Otherwise the motor will not be able to use it due to the restricted airflows either side of the head.
