Hello fello champs, i have a cfi, is it worth replacing the cam to a 4 litre one??? i hav a 3.9? thanx alot.. All i want is a bit more power down low..

Have you done anything else to it?
Exhaust? Intake? How good is the motor to start with?

If I was going to change the cam, I'd upgrade it to an XR6 cam, and possibly an XR6 head.

But you would probably be better of with a MPI upgrade first off....

Not much point putting a cam into a cfi, the manifold can't really supply the extra air the cam will require. You will probably notice a *slight* difference with a 4L cam, but it won't be worth the $50 you paid for it.
I know, my brother did it on his, then went mpfi anyway.

And I also agree with the other two - before a cam, go mpfi, extractors, and exhaust. Otherwise the motor will not be able to use it due to the restricted airflows either side of the head.

It's got a pod filter, so intake there is no restrictions, its also got 2.5" cat back... so its only zorst manifold slowing it up... Well i'm just bout to take the head of so i thought i might ask whether or not its worth it... i think i can get one for free out of my mates engine that he took out... Thanx for the help ppl's
