just put my other engine in the ea.... has an el haed on it
it wont fire up!!
it has spark and fuel
its not the tfi module cuz i changed that
so what are ur ideas?
im going nuts! :\

just had a starting problem with my EA.

take the plug out and confirm spark, ie see it.

take the fuel rail feeder off the rail, and crank the engine. See fuel come out of the hose. This one is important...

Check every lead, the rotor button and the dizzy cap for corrosion.

And, trust me, do this (hehe) pour a full jerry of fuel into it. Dont trust your gauge...

hmmmm
i think the timing is wrong
at tdc where should the dizzy be?
why does the dizzy have start and finish written on it?
is start tdc?
so confusing :)

also which wire is the one u ground to set the base idle?

should line it up with the notch in the cap and that should be no.1 lead and put the h/balancer on the ign mark. thats if no.1 is on the firing stroke but you soon find out and the base wire is the red/white wire near booster

i got it running
turns out the TFI was only contacting on 2 pins :)

so it all works

now i just gotta set the base idle
