Do E-series I6 injectors fit into an E-series V8 5.0l, like are the plugs on the wiring harness different?
I know the magna injectors fit (24lbs).
Just made me curious about the ford I6 injectors and they were a different colour/flow rate too!
I might get some injectors from a wrecker to trade in on some new ones yet!(see how the cost is).

No different plug and resistance. You may be able to make an adaption harness but not sure. The blue 4cyl magna ones do fit and are close to 24lb, so if you can get them cheap they are a good option. Otherwise order some proper ford ones from the USA,

I do not have my maf sensor yet so I was thinking of a 30lbs/mustang air meter package from ford.
(Are they as good as GMS maf’s?)
Might be the best and cheapest option in the end, rather than fitting something to match (nearly) 24lbs injectors, and having them new is also piece of mind.

The Ford MAF/30lb pack should be good. I was going to get one of those, but lots of the mustang guy's said it was an overkill and could lead to less power because on a stock/mild engine, the injectos have to run a really light load resulting in a poor spray pattern. I really don't think that would be the case, and I know a few people run them without problems. I run the GMS one with 24lb injectors and am very happy, but probably the Ford one should be cheaper for a similar result.

Can my old 19lbs injectors be exchanged for new larger ones?
I was told by Repco that the magna injectors could be purchased much cheaper if I had some old exchange injectors to give them (magna ones of course).
Does this apply to ford injectors?
Do ford do an exchange?

Not that I know of. Anyway, I was told that ford Australia had no more E-series 24lb injectors or higher left in stock and would not be getting any more in. Don't know if this was correct but it is much cheaper just to order direct from the USA anyway. Repco probably just recon the magna ones and resell them to the next person.

For the ford stuff try www.buyfordmotorsport.com they have a good rep. But looking at the prices of the Ford MAF now, you can get the GMS one and 24/30lb injectors from www.jegs.com for only about $20 more. I have used Jegs quite a few times and they are great, and have delivery within a week every time.

I might pick up some magna injectors from the wreckers tomorrow and exchange them at repco.

With exchange $528
$336 difference!
depends on what the wreckers charge...
These injectors with a GMS MAF might be the go!

You should get genuine Ford Motorsport 24lb or 30lb injectors from the USA for under $315, even with freight and tax, it will still be cheaper than the magna ones.
