EL Ghia

hi all

i just got my self a Wade cam 1004@112 for my EL but im not to sure on how to install the shims?

i got some 1.9mm shims from Ford for $50 is that a good price?

any help would be good

were the shims, just the upper parts out of the lifters??? THats all i used, i bet you braught them from rex gorel... I got mine out of an old engine i had laying around

can be a bit fidely, as when you remove the rockers, they can fall out , and thats not good. Have u all ready got youre cam fitted

nah i havnt installed it yet, going to do it this weekend :) just got to fig out to do the shims.

and yep i got them from rex gorel.

hmmm, we might have to have a geelong e series drag meet heya i beta watch out. ..
If you get a mate to hold the gear up, you can get the cam in and out without having to undo the chain tensioner.... the shims go behind the lifters, simply pull each one out and put the extra shim in..

nah i got the cam from wade but johny's doing same head work for me

im putting in a new cam gear the adjust type so i need to take it all off but i norm use cable tires to hold the cam gear on.

wouldnt mind have a drag meet never been to one.

wat do you cruise around in?

i just got 2 cars, ones my eb falcon with a wade cam, the same as youre one i got it from johny's . the other is my corty built it over a year ago and still havnt driven it, made 220 kw on johnys engine dyno

so you happy with the wade cam? and has your fuel consump changed at all.

at your pic, wish mine would go there but at 180km it stops:(

fuel consumtion is 30 litrers gets me about 220 km, thats around town driving, with a lil bit of hard driving.. VERY happy with the cam love the results
