What makes the eecv i6 have such a gay intake noise?

The engine just sounds silly. I've never been in the Boss 260 to compare it to, but my Au2 i6 just sounds like crap. Mainly the intake noise.

I got my exhaust, and that sounds really good, but on top off that you can hear the intake and it very noticable (well for me anyway)

So what makes the engine's noise? My mate has a 2001 Integra Type R and that sounds awesome, specially under vtec.

So yeh, what makes the engine note (not the exhaust note) and is it possible to change it or anything on the i6?

have you checked that you done have a vacuume leak beacuase that can make a loud suction noise if a vacuume line has come off

lol my intake sounds like a supercharger whining up ...

but then again feeding a 4l engine air takes a bit

mine sounds great!

the tune of the motor has an effect (timing and fuel) as well as the actual cam timing and the air filter.

do you have a pod? they make good noises IMHO, and putting a cam in will make it faster and probably sound better too. the honda sounds so good because it has very good intake tuning and revs to 7500rpm....
