Isuues: EL XR into EF GLi
Basically what it says ... planned is an EL engine swap into EF with keeping the auto, i heard of some thing which need to be considered when auto is taken off the EF engine and when bolted back onto the EL.
Also whats the easiest and best way of keeping the tranny in the car when removing the engine. I always had trouble unbolting the bolts of the tranny close to the firewall (the top ones).
Last but not least, we r getting the EL XR engine minus manifolds and wiring loom but with ECU. as commonly known EFs use coilpacks, whereas ELs use dizzy. To use coilpacks i need to swap the coilpacks and the crank angel sensor over (well tahst what i have been told), but i like to keep the dizzy with the el and just use the EL ECU. are there any additional or less wires running to teh ecu or should it all plug up from teh word go?
