ok fellaz i got a weird one for ya's my EA's map sensor stuffed up, so i got a new one... Since i have had the new one i noticed that the car run's like S#iT when its screwed onto the firewall and if i just have it tucked away it run's nice. This has been going on for some time and its starting to piss me off as the map sensor is plastic and cant earth out or anything if its screwed on the firewall:shifty: HELLLLP!
When you screw it tothe fierwall are the wires stressed at all, maybe they make bad connection when its in that position, otherwise maybe a hole in the vacuum hose when the map is in position.
Just my thoughts.

I think it would have to be vacuum hose, or maybe even where the hose goes onto the manifold, is there a crack there at all, will be hard to get to, but hose is cheap, so replace it for a start.

OK then another question, if you move the map from where it runs fine, slowly to the position where it runs rough, at what point does it start happening.
i.e. does it only happen when you get it to position where you would screw it in, or before, if it is before, then I think you could bet on vacuum hose.

only seems to happen when its all set to screw in... I can pull it heaps higher than where it usally sits and it run's arite...
I cant say that i have checked the whole hose for cracks, i made shure it was pluged in at both ends. Looks like it would be hard to replace (being hell cramped under the intake)
