Hi I have an EA Fairmont Ghia recently it started to miss in number 1 at idle after engine warms up. First thing in the morning when it is cold it is fine then when engine warms up it develops miss in number 1 at idle its not spark and we replaced the injector. The rotor and dizzy cap have been replaces as well as the leads. It only misses at idle after driving above idle then returing to idle it takes a few seconds for the miss to return.
The cylinder has compression and we have checked the manifold for vacume leaks as well as the map sensors vacume line.

could it be a worn dizzy

Have you cleaned the ISC?

Yes the ICS was cleaned and is working ok. It was running ok a couple of weeks ago we took the head off to do the head gasket as well as timing chain and tioming guides (guide was broken for months) after putting it back together it has developed the miss.

I may have traced the fault down to a relay in parallel with fuel pump which i connected there to control thermo fan :( I am gaoing to try disconnecting and see if it fixes problem.
