miss under load Ed XR6 falcon auto - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

ok fellas
Ive got a miss under load in the falcon @ around 3500-4000revs and off the mark occasionally,replaced the fuel filter which was choca blocked (cant blow through at all).........Cool thought this is it.
Take it for a run ,same deal,!!!!!!!!!!!
Thinking injectors now,then maybe fuel lines blocked/fuel pump?

Replaced the air filter thinking this was it,had a pod filter on it(back to panel filter)
no change .

Any one got ideas on this????
Im hoping its nothing major at this stage!!!!!!!!!!!!

check your plugs and leads,a miss is a sign of a spark problem so check this first

leads are about 6 months old plugs the same ill pull the plugs tommorrow and check them ,I was going to try an injector cleaner to,

Any particular brands I should use to eliminate the injectors

Could be a spark problem get it checked out on the dyno.

just out of curiousity are you using an EA pipe from the pod to your throttle body?

dizzy cap and rotor button - every time i have encountered a EA-D with a missfire those two components have been at fault.

standard pipe for the pod filter,

it really does nothing for the performance too by the way,It was just an experiment,the factory air box back in the torque is noticable straight away

Ill check it all out in the morning,as i keeped all my old gear from my last service at least it ran ok when i took the old shit out.
I only asumed it was a fuel problem as the filter was that blocked I could not physically blow through it.no to be
Apparantly after market leads are not the way to go on ford 6s.
