Mobile 1

Hi guy's, just wondering what ppl think about this subject.

Fully synthetic oil is as far as i know the best oil for your car, what i'd like to know is if Mobile 1 is worth the extra $10-$15 over the other synthetic oil's like shell. With non-synthetic oil's you'd change your oil every 5-10k k's is that right? Is an oil like Mobile 1, good for more than that, say 15-20k k's?

Also what fuel do most of you use? Should i use premium all the time is it worth it, i heard it will give you a few extra K's per tank if highway driving so you would make your money back, which i don't drive highway but not stopping and starting all the time either, plus it's good for your injectors i think? BP i noticed has premium & some other advanced premium or something with 98% octane, it was $1.12 as opposed to $0.99 for ULP, what do you guy's suggest. I drive a 94 Fairmont Ghia BTW. Thank's guy's.

Re: Mobile 1

i use mobile one since y last oil (will not name which brand name) has let me down and unfortunetly did not protect pistons, piston rins etc on 3 otehr engines similar to mine, ever since chaged to mobile. change oil every 5000km as well as oil filter as well as external oil cooler. having spend a fair amount on engine work i would hate to see my engine go to the shits due to dodgy oil. hence i invest in some good lubrication :D ..

Re: Mobile 1

Sounds pretty expensive to me, i don't mind the manual side of changing the oil, but $63 bux every 2-3 month's for oil, plus im not sure what a mobile 1 filter would cost..

Will it be worth it in the end?
