i want to upgrade my CFI to mpfi and have been meaning to do it for a while now...
I mean whats the use of moly rings, hi comp pistions, head work, stage 5 cam etc etc if its all being restricted by the fuel system

Ive just been to a wrecker and he said he'll do the total conversion which includes all the parts and all the labour + insurance i think for $660

does this sound like a good price??

I collected all the parts to do mine and it cost me $200, cos I had to get a mixer for the gas setup as well, otherwise it would have been $150. So $510 for labour sounds a bit much. but you do have the warrenty for 3 to 6 months.
It is not all that hard to do yourself. But try and recruit a couple of mates or people off the forums who have done it before and you will be right. Just put on a BBQ and they will come.

Yeah.. People are always willing to help other members with stuff like this.

Parts = $150-200
BBQ = $50
Slab of VB = $40
Help from eseries members = $priceless

I don't know if its just me but everywhere I have asked they have quoted me prices of around $400-500 for all the parts etc.
The parts that i'm using are
EF intake manifold with air temp sens tps and injectors
EB idle air motor
EA multipoint fuel pump
EF air cleaner assembler
EA computer , loom etc

Im not that mechanically minded enough but why does everyone else say 150-200??
