MPI and gas?

my car is dual fuel and CPI. would the MPI convertion be worth it? or does it only effect when i use petrol and not gas? thanks

nah the LPG mixer is alot better for MPI it uses a mixer donut in the intake not that silly air cleaner setup

You need a new mixer, and depending on where your converter is mounted, new convertor mount.

what sort of improvement will i see and how much all up will it cost if i get a mechanic to do it?

depends what MPI inlet manifold and induction setup your changing it to.. EL for example have the LPG inlet already moulded on the intake tubing,, all you will need then is a donut mixer and to drill and file out the hole... EF close to the same but you just put the hole in the standard rubber joiner and i cant for the life of me remember what the EB-ED setup looks like

the MPI is 5 fold better than the CFI ... i am assuming you only want to price the mixer etc and already have sourced out the MPI conversion? The mixer and some more gas hose maybe $100 fitted ...Provided your LPg convertor is mounted on the exhaust side.. Better throttle response all round and better ecomony if its tuned correctly
