My new car and XF Door Buttons

Hey Guys,

Ive just bought a mint 87 XF S Pak!. its the 4.1 Carby automatic model, and it has been looked after well, has all the log books, service history..etc. Only thing is that the previous owner put on some chrome (elgh!) door locking buttons on. I took them off and found one spare from my old XF Ghia, but i need to get some more!. I went to a few wreckers but they diddnt have any. Knowing how easily they fall off in the XF...do FORD still stock them?

PS. Ill take some pics of my car when i get a chance and put them up!

Thanks

Extreme

I'd have thought snipper knobs would be thick as flies in a wrecker's yard - almost any will suit, just the shapes changed over the years from model to model - if you particularly want four original XF ones I have some so give me a PM.

For every little bit of plastic or rubber that you think you can't find anywhere, including badges, try:

www.scottsoldautorubber.com.au

They are based in Melbourne and have XF door buttons.

If you dont want people to break into your car i'd suggest you leave the chrome ones on. Almost impossible to open the door with the 'packing tape' trick.

I've tried it out on a friends car, couldnt get in.
I can normally get into my car in about 20sec otherwise.

But if you still want the original ones, you can still get them from your local dealer.
