New engine

Since I have had my compression tested and 2 cyls came out pretty low, it looks like I will be in the hunt for a new engine.

If i got say a smashed up EF or EL, how easy would it be to get the engine into the ute? since I have an XG ute, which pretty much got an XF body, could I put the interior in as well?

Also how easy would it be to hook up my gas system to the new engine? would it be difficult or about as easy as before. Also did the EF or EL engines come with factory gas and are they rare or should I be able to track one down fairly easily?

The block is the same in the EA/L XG/H, will drop straigt in.
EF/L has a different Floorpan to the XG.
You could take the seats off the runners and swap them that way.
The gas should be able to be hooked up the way it come off the old engine, but id get it checked by a Pro after it was done.

Whats a good compression for any engine ? or acceptable range

Ford Falcon EF Series II, Respray BA XR Blue, Only cost me $1500 best bargain ever well not really but goes at least, needs TLC

round 150 psi is a good stock 6 motor
little 4 run bit lower
