i was driving my off at a set of light when my car just stalled and would not restart, i checked the fuel pump it was fine but when i pulled a spark plug out whith it connected to a lead and tryed to start it it had no spark. not shaw if it is ignition module or coil.if any has any ideas pls post thks.

OK. So, EEC-IV falcons (XF-EL excluding EF) need these things for spark:
1) A 12v feed to the distributor and coil - check ignition switch, relays etc.
2) A PIP signal from the hall sensor in the dissy
3) A working TFI to switch the coil
4) Good plugs, leads, coil, etc.
5) A signal ground for the dissy
6) 1,2,3,4,5.

These are very easy to diagnose! Start with your multimeter at the coil +ve (with key on) and work from there!

after work today i went to pick up my car and it started like nothing was wrong but once it heated up again it stalled and would not restart

Sounds like a TFI problem if its temp sensitive.

true it does sound like a tfi problem have seen b4 try to pore cold wter on tfi unit white (block) to cool down this could get ya un stick for the inmediat

Water not a good idea; use freeze spray - less chance of creating a short in TFI connectors. I would also look for a cracked coil.
