My ef xr6 is having idle problems.. When reving it will hold the revs at 2000rpm for a period of time then drop slowly... When I disconnect the sensor on the top of the throttle body it revs freely and drops as it should.
My understanding is that a car should rev freely and then drop rapidly... It appears to be holding revs too long.
I have replaced the sensor on top of the throttle body but it did not change the problom...........

Is this ISC sensor - manifold leak - ecu problem ????????

Hi my EF is doing the exact same thing have you actually found a solution to this problem yet?

try a cleaner such as carbie sleaner or something down the throttle body!
also try disconnecting the ISC witch is the module on top of the throttle body!
my car does the same thing and i just dont run a ISC anymore i just disconnected it and lifted the idle a little!
