I'd go for the "normal" ones- increase across the rev range. This means you gain torque throughtout the rev range, rather than losing some at the lower revs to gain more at the top. If you think abotu it like this it makes sense...
Its a street car with an auto- it has a tall 1st gear. This means that a great deal of time is spent in the lower rev range, even during a maximum acceleration run. It also means you don't have to rev the guts outa it to get good performance.
If it was a track or drag car with shorter gears, then the engine would be at high revs almost constantly. This is where the benefit of the tuned system comes in because little if any time is spent at lower revs where there would be a loss of torque.
