i was wondering what sort of power out put you would need at the wheels to be able to slog a wrx or even a skyline can it be done, and what would have to be done, say for an ea 5 speed

yep, get your own turbo and your most of the way there.
If we are talking about straight line you need a turbo or SC, if were talking in the corners then it's all a bit harder. IRS and a bucket load more grip would be a start....and the turbo to make sure you can keep up in between.

What about a Jim Mock Dev5 S/c kit? That would be nice even a new BA XR6 turbo would have trouble WRX's are bloody quick.Be prepared to spend lots of money.

Are you talking about a stock WRX/Skyline or a modified one?

yeah iam talking stock jap stuff, i had a look at the specs and a ba xr6 turbo does 0-100 like .1 s quicker than a wrx :D

upgrade your diff to a 3.9 LSD; forced induction would be an easy way to do it, but if you are taking guards off your car (as per your sig), keep going with that ...
I thought a motoring mag got 14's out of a datto 120y at the strip... they started with a complete car, and ended up with no panels, glass, just an engine, chassis, 1 seat, and enough to make it run down the quarter. The engine was a stockers, the power to weight at the end was very good.
