i was reading some of the thread last night and it got me thinking about the air pods. I want to put a air pod on my cfi engine ha anyone done this and if so are there pic as well.

Before anyone says convert to mpfi i going to wait until my engine goes. In the ext 2 weeks i'm getting a mpfi engine from a Ea in needs a clean and i might add somethings to it

Yeah you can to it. JJJ did it and told me how to. You just have to buy some PVC straight pipe about 10cm in length, and a bend pipe to bend it towards the left headlight and hook the pod up to the bend pipe. Just get some hose clamps to clamp the original intake pipe to the pvc pipe. It probly isnt explained very well, so pm JJJ he would be the best or myself.

The other thing to think about is, JJJ has extractors and exhaust, so its probly gonna work better with his set up. My car is stock as, and to be honest putting a pod filter on didnt do jack shit. I took it off last night. It was a waste of time in my opinion. I didnt get a cool nosie or a slight performance increase at all.... but thats just me.

Are there any pics of this air pod conversion? I have been thinking of doing this myself,but when all the people that i talk to say it can't be done. I have also thinking of Cold Air Intake for a CFI

why dont people understand the factory setup is a cold air setup :)

i do understand but i have an extenion on my cfi .. come with the gas setup and the aircleaner sits upside down just above the aircon so it looks silly.. i would like to make something up so i can put a pod filter on it and run a pipe over to where the mpii ones sit behind the light..

ahhhh you have one of those LPG setups, based on the old webber carby LPG design.

2weeks ago yes. I had a throttle body CFI LPG ring. Unfortunatly i chucked it out.

I propbably should of explained what i meant by Cold Air Intake. I know that the factory setup of the CFI is a basic Cold Air Induction system, which is one of the reason why i haven't converted to MPFI, I am trying to source a bigger inlet funnel to channel more cold air into the intake. but there doesn't seem to be any manufactors that make the part that i am after.
