Hello. I have an NC fairlane and am thinking of getting the head ported and installing a Stage 2 Cam.
Has anyone here had this done if so how much did it cost and what sort of performance gains did you get?
I just got a quote of $1000 + $600 to do the job I don,t know much about Porting and cams so any info would be appreciated.

Not sure what a new cam cost but fitting the cam you allow about 2 hours labour = about $ 120 , Dont worry about getting the head ported as these heads work very well as they are , For the best gain in power you will need extractors and free flowing exhaust and cold air induction .

I agree with Trevor, get the cam $600 sounds about right installed, and put the $1000 into headers and an exhaust.
