Post your dyno results for EF - AU I6

Got a power run a dyno done today.


117.2kW

Car is:
AU I Futura
Pacemaker extractors
HI-Flow cat
2 1/2" mandrel bent off the shelf exhaust
XR8 snorkle
EF Air box lid
Custom storm water pipe from ef lid to the original flible hose.
STANDARD PAPER FILTER

no dyno results but i woulda hoped for a bit more than that wouldnt you? or am i reading it wrong? (i know its rwkw btw)
sounds like the exhaust is a fair bit and i would recommend the k+n filter seeing youve gone to all the other trouble
what rwkw is it standard?

bring on dyno day i say

I would say that is good.

considering xr6 puts out 110kw.

I'm happy, and go's to show the dyno i used isn't telling porkies.

the guy is two factories from the dyno dynamic factory in lilydale.

Its no a six but a customers car at work is an Au Xr8 with a 14 pound capa supercharger kit on it no intercooler (yet) has water injection, bigger injectors, motorsport pump, standard remapped comp, o ringed block, standard compression, heavier valve springs etc and it made approx 300 rwkw on its first tune, cant wait until its boosted up to 18 pound with new computer and intercooler (soon)

the computer alone should give it another 20 kw - intercooler 30kw and 18 pound your looking at att 500+ kw at the flywheel with a little bit of motor and g/box strengthaning

I've got a dyno print-out but no scanner.

Mine peaks at 130rwkw (Herrod's dyno). Not that bad for an EF fairmont I6 that was originally about 90-99rwkw.

Though i want more, damnit!

Mods include: extractors, 2 + 1/2 inch cat back, straight thru muffler, performance camshaft and k&n panel....3.45:1 LSD

Was seriously considering getting a manual gearbox put in (BEST mod to do).. but ended up fixing the auto! grr

am planning on getting full herrod exhaust and manual conversion done at same time in time for the FPV-TCNSW dyno day on May 11 :s6:

new air con compressor and the stuffing around involved have set me back a little but still on track

with the BA intake pipe, EF airbox lid, K+N filter, intake plate and tickford snorkel aswell im hoping for some decent results..

anyone know of a ballpark figure i should expect?

158 kw then cc'd heads plained to 60cc chambers[from 68cc+] and correct plugs made 180 rwkw on different dyno..
But with latest bolt ons should improve on that alttle. Though a Herrods sticker would add atleast 40 rwkw.. Haha...

ED XR6 Dyno

I had my Manual ED XR6 on the Dyno this morning, she pulled 130rwkw @ 5200RPM.
Also it had 374 Nm@ the rears.
Will post a pic when i can get it onto the gallery.

Mods
EL thermo's, 80mm Finer Filter Rush pod, cold air intake, 25thou steel head gasket, Mild port on the inlet side, Jim Mock headers, HSV 2.5" cat, 2.5" mandrel bent Exaust, 17" wheels, 3.7:1 diff gears.

Soon to come a JMM cam.
