Hey there guys,

I have just bought my first ford, its an XG ute and I love it.
But I would like to change the oil myself but I dont have an owners maunal to see how much to use.
Can anyone please tell me how much to use with and without changing the filter.
By the way, in all my other cars i have used Penrite so it is my brand by choice if this matters.

I think 5L without filter and 5.5L with filter change. Change the filter. Only cost $4. Most oil is 5L bottles so you might need the 0.5L small bottle. B*stards did it on purpose. For a standard engine use what you have been but I prefer Penrite.

I only ever put 5l in mine with a new filter and it always settles half way between add and full.

yeah im the same. a 5 litre bottle is usually enough to do the job.
congrats on your XG too. hoping one day i can go to a XG or even XH pano which i just basically call a hard top ute!
are panos accepted at ute rallys??
