hi guys we just fitted a street master cam and heavey duty valve spings to our au2 s pak. we only used two hla's per rocker and she sounds a bit rattly at idle. is this normal or should we put the third one in? thanks for you help jake
Mine is the same since i put a heavyer set of springs in, i also used new lifters.
In not sure if its just the springs or my shims are to small.
i am going to tyr i slightly thicker set of shims in the next few weeks.
TIKFD6 i put an extra hla in this arvo (that makes 3 per rocker now)didnt make any difference.i suspect the nose is just comming from the springs.the cam we put in is actualy a streetfighter from jmm .the springs we fitted had dev5 written on packeging they were alot bigger than factaory ones.who knows as long as it keeps goin like sh#t off a shovel i dont mind a bit of noise.might give jmm a ring tommorow and see what they tnink.catch ya jake
About rattly top end but may not be relevant. Replaced the rubber rocker cover gasket with sealant and the noise was much louder. Then used a proper gasket.
problems been fixed now .rung jmm and they told us that we had to remove the circlip on the hla's before we reinstalled them.sounded strange to me at the time but it worked .
