i was leavin my mates house the other day,in my eb, started the engine and we could here a knock, well he heard it because his ef is doin the same thing.
it a knockin thats hard to explain, could even call it a bubbling noise from oil or something. he reaken its normal, but he's had alot of trouble with his and it runs like a bucket.

mine seems to be runing ok, just a bit of a racket out of the engine thats hard to pinpoint.oil pressure isnt to high,idle is fine. any ideas.

Was the car sitting on an angle? I have heard a similar knock like that when cars idle on an angle or on a hill, its the oil slaping the crank.

my mate has a eb and just like INJECTED250 said at idel it makes that sound and is only the oil.

Yep mine does that when parked on the steep incline driveway at home. the oil moves towards the rear of the sump, hence the crank slaps the oil.
