Hey there all,

My XG ute was built 4/93 so I dont think it has smartlock.
The dash has the smartlock light block that says "Smart Lock" but there is no light flashing when the car is off.

Is there a chance that Ford prepared my ute for smartlock but couldn't fit them in time for release, if so would the computer have some type of marking on it.

do you have remote keyless entry?? any stickers on the ute that say smartlock?? you could pull the cluster and see if it has the 2 pin wire going to the jewel in the dash.

No, no keyless entry, but my mate has an XG build date 1/94 and his has no remote entry either, but has the smartlock flashing light.

If it says Smartlock and has the dash, it should have smartlock. Perhaps your bulb has burned out?

Its an l.e.d not a bulb, my eb is 4/93 and it has smart lock, a fair few people ive known dont really use smart lock so maybe if you bought it second hand they just forgot to give the pad to you, or maybe its been disconnected if possible some how??
