Driftagent, depends on why you wish to do this.

If for the look of a modifiied induction - fine, I can see that.

If to achieve a gain in performance:-
Don't waste your time on the ZL (or any EFI in XE, ZK, XF etc).
I have an XE Fairmont EFI.
We did a bunch of work putting in a pod filter, moving the battery into the boot, etc, etc.
Made absolutely zero(0) difference.

The limiting factor in that EFI setup is the MAF sensor unit (the top part of the airbox). The rest of the standard induction system is much more efficient than the limit created by the MAF.

After much work and testing we discovered that fitting a K&N filter to the original setup delivered the maximum gain and all the rest was a total waste of time and money for zero effect.

We restored everything back to original.

I've tried fitting the AU snorkel to my EF, but it gets caught against the electric thermo fans. This meant that the snorkel was not sealing to the airbox properly - anyone know how to get around this?

i just snipped the front 10mm off and fitted it like the old one.
no hassles at all.
seems to be sealed ok from what i can tell.
