sohc-dohc conversion

hey how are ya? i'm building an engine for an xf ute and i'm running a sohc falcon 6 out of an eb,does anyone know if a dohc variable valve head will fit onto this (sohc) block.if so how much modification if any would it talke to fit one?

nope, forget it. Wont fit, different ECU. It a dead end.

yeh i do realise their a different ecu one has vvt and the other doesnt.
but are the block's the same or can they be modified to fit (similar to the modifications to get clevo heads on a windsor)?

As walkinshaw said above, its different. It simply wont fit. Only option is a full BA transplant.

i thought there was a guy in QD who made DOHC heads for the e-series 3.9-4litre engines? do a search on these forums, im sure this is where i saw/heard about it.t be prepared fror big $$$$$ 2.5k for head alone i think......

hmmm they went out of buissnes years ago didnt they............. and not to mention after market parts ie cams and shit would be hard to get

98 T5 gear box (was auto)
Wade 977b cam
3.7 lsd
AU bottem end
ELXR6 ported Head
PH4480 Pacemakers
