I've got a similar story - stripping the IRS out of an XJ6 and a spider the sixe of my hand - big fat bugger, no idea what - crawls down it and lands in front of me!

we did a first service on a vy cop car not long ago. the cop complained of a dead mouse smell. we found the dead mouse in the airbox and no air filter at all, funny enough the car was covered in dust.

Dads had a snake (dugite) creep up to him while replacing brakes on a car, in balcatta, so not exactly in the middle of nowhere,
I think it came from the old market garden down the street, it was infested with dugites and when they started developing the land, they had nowhere to go.
He reckons hes never got up and grabed a shovel so quick.
In the end, it was around 5 feet long, and missing a head :)
Enough to make anyone sh!t themselves.

Yes ant nests are a right pain in the ass.
Had one in my EA, in the heater box.

Mine was in the 'A' pillar.....was only a crappy old HX panelvan tho so I left the little bastards alone :)
