Pneumatic Registered User Join Date: Jun 2004 Location: Brisbane Posts: 44	tappets - how loud is too loud? i got a 3.3L 1979 TE Cortina 6cyl, noticed since i got extractors put on that the tappet(s) get increasingly louder the faster i go (70+km/h). it was quieter with the old exhaust of course, but i wanna get ridda this noise. the noise goes away after idling for a min or two. is there not enough oil getting there or something? can it cause damage?
