I want to do a little project car, thinking TF Cortina with the 4ltr in it but i want 2 know the engines spec's mainly size difference's between the EL, AU and the BA. Any information on the engine's or the cortina project would be awesome. I'm new 2 this site aswell wat should i check out? Cheers

can be done and has been done before, out of El and AU engine, defientely the AU engine, lot stronger and powerful engine out of the box

BA is a completely different story, not sure about bonnet clearance, engine mounts, flyby wire, etc etc

btw i have a nice au engine with tranny for sale :D

au engine mabie.... power difference from this and el?.... not much.. SUmps need to be changed cortina sump is REAR pick up, you will need a cortina sump, cut it then weld it to 4.0 sump thats been cut just down from where they bolt up... as the 250/4.0 sumps are similar just where they bolt to the block is differnt. EL motor would be slighly easier...
