The other day I got my mate to sit in the car and put his foot flat on the throttle while I was looking at the throttle body, and I found that I could manually push the throttle down a little bit more, say about nearlly a centimetre. Does this make any performance difference or is it negligable??? Where do I get a new throttle cable from? Does repco have them??
not too sure about Repco but Ford still carry them for sure...A stretched cable is not going to give WOT, no matter hard hard you jam the pedal to the floor.. More so than pushing on the linkages you should see if the butterfly is 100% open
mine had a streatched cable and it was :ghey: ... i was going on the freeway with a fully loaded trailer and it wouldnt pull a hair out of your arse...
Mine seemed to respond a bit better, it felt more spritely.
